HOW TO PUBLISH AN EVENT
Pombal Acontece is the municipality's events listing. Any non-profit organisation in the municipality can publish its events here, free of charge. First register your organisation. Once the Municipality of Pombal has confirmed it, you can submit events whenever you like.
WHO CAN PUBLISH
Non-profit organisations whose activities are open to the community, such as:
- cultural, recreational and residents’ associations;
- sports clubs;
- community groups, folk dance groups, bands and theatre groups;
- social solidarity institutions (IPSS), Misericórdias and charities;
- schools and school clusters;
- parish councils.
The following cannot publish: companies, private individuals, or events with commercial aims. If you are not sure whether your organisation can, write to us before registering.
HOW TO REGISTER
- Create your account. On the registration form, choose one of two options. If the organisation is already on Pombal Acontece, for example your parish council, choose “A minha entidade já está no Pombal Acontece” (my organisation is already on Pombal Acontece) and ask to join. If it is not there yet, suggest the organisation with its details, and the Municipality of Pombal will create it.
- The Municipality of Pombal confirms the organisation. We check the name and tax number (NIF) and, if necessary, contact the organisation. We do this within 48 working-day hours.
- You receive an email once everything is confirmed. From then on you can submit events.
- You submit your events under “Os meus eventos” (my events). The Municipality of Pombal reviews each event before it appears in the listings, also within 48 working-day hours.
WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE TO HAND
- the organisation’s tax number (NIF), 9 digits;
- the name and contact details of a responsible person;
- the organisation’s parish, or “Todo o concelho” (the whole municipality);
- an email address you read, to receive replies from the Municipality of Pombal.
For each event you will need the date and time, the venue and a short description. If you add photographs, they must be your own or you must have permission to use them.
MORE THAN ONE PERSON IN THE ORGANISATION
Each person has their own account. Anyone already in the organisation can request another person’s entry under “Membros” (members), and the Municipality of Pombal confirms it. All members can do the same things: submit events and change the organisation’s details.
