WHAT WE STORE IN YOUR BROWSER
Pombal Acontece only uses what is necessary for the site to work. It does not use advertising, visitor statistics or social media cookies, and it shares nothing with third parties for those purposes. That is why we do not ask for your consent: these cookies are essential, and in such cases the law does not require it.
COOKIES
| Name | What for | Lasts |
|---|---|---|
| pombal-acontece-session | Keeps your session between pages — for example, if you have signed in as an organiser. Only the server can read it. | 2 hours |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Protects the forms (newsletter subscription, sign-in, event submission) against submissions made by other sites on your behalf. | 2 hours |
OTHER THINGS KEPT IN YOUR BROWSER
- Your choice between grid and list on the home page, so that your next visit opens the way you left it. It stays in your browser only and is not sent anywhere.
- A copy of the pages you have visited, so that the site opens faster and works even without a connection. It does not include the restricted areas (organisers’ area, back office, sign-in) or your personal newsletter pages.
THE MAPS
The maps use OpenStreetMap. To draw the map, your browser requests the images directly from the OpenStreetMap servers. Those servers see your internet address, as happens with any site you visit, and they do not set cookies. The program that draws the map comes from Pombal Acontece itself.
The Open in Google Maps and Directions buttons are just links: they open Google Maps in another window, and Google only receives your data if you press them. Until you do, nothing on the site is requested from Google.
DELETING
You can delete all of this in your browser settings, under “site data” or “cookies”. The site keeps working; it only asks you to sign in again, if you had signed in.
