▍ About the event
"À Deriva" is a new circus performance that uses an unconventional Chinese pole, designed to support itself and move through space via a interplay of balance, imbalance and swaying.
In a world that is constantly accelerating, “À Deriva” offers a space of suspension. A solitary body, supported by an unstable structure, oscillates between risk and repose.
The show has been made possible by grants from Outdoor Arts Portugal, an initiative dedicated to the development and promotion of contemporary artistic creation for public spaces.
The Outdoor Arts Portugal platform is promoted by Bússola.
The creative grant programme is developed in co-production with 23 Milhas (Ílhavo), Casa Varela (Pombal) and Ponto C (Penafiel), with the support of the Portuguese Republic – Culture, Directorate-General for the Arts.
