▍ About the event
Synopsis: EX SITU – a Latin expression meaning ‘outside the place of origin’ – is the title of João Ribeiro’s fourth solo exhibition.
Bringing together works inspired by a journey through Asia, the exhibition features paintings created using fabrics collected in six countries, alongside the artist’s memories, photographs and personal experiences. Straddling the line between material and memory, each work captures the encounter between the places he has visited and his artistic interpretation of them.
