▍ About the event
2026 is a year that marks two special, milestone anniversaries.
The first is the 30th anniversary of Jel’s career, and the second is the 20th anniversary of his most iconic programme, ‘Vai Tudo Abaixo’, which featured characters such as Carlinhos, the Gay Macho, Ruce the Drug-Addicted– the drug-addicted entrepreneur, the ‘Men of the Struggle’, the ‘Bourgeois Revolutionaries’, the war-heavy-metal band Kalashnikov, and Wanderley, the Brazilian who hates Portugal, amongst others, who are still often remembered by his fans today.
‘Quem te viu e quem te vê’, his second stand-up comedy solo show, is a performance that commemorates these two milestones, but not only that; it also evokes the changes that have taken place in the world, the changes that have taken place in Portugal, and the changes that have also taken place in Jel himself, now a different man from the one who, 20 or 30 years ago, took to the stage and began performing his ever-irreverent comedy.
In this show, we’ll hear previously untold stories about the behind-the-scenes of *Vai Tudo Abaixo* and the start of his career, as well as his views and observations on what has changed in the world over the past 30 years and, above all, in his 50 years of life."
